Tungsten Carbide Knife Grain

Introduction
Tungsten carbide knife grain is a kind of indexable inserts, which has been widely used in metal turning, milling, cutting groove and thread turning due to its high hardness, strength and excellent wear and corrosion resistance.
Types
At present, tungsten carbide knife grain has many types, and the majority is machine folder indexable tool. Beside, there are many types: 1. Monolithic: Grinding material made from a single piece, grind the part into the shape required according to different applications; 2. Inlayed: It can divided into clip-type and welded-type, and the clip-type can be also specifically divided into indexable and non-indexable type; 3. Damping: When working arm tool length and diameter ratio greater than 4, in order to reduce tool vibrations and improve the precision, we use tool with special structure for boring; 4. Internal cooling: Coolant fluid is transmitted to the knife inside the nozzle holes injected into the site of the cutting edge through the spindle or cutter; 5. Special types: Reversible tapping, and other composite tools.
Wear Types
1. Abrasive wear: The surface of the chip or some tiny hard particles (such as carbides, oxides, etc.) and impurities (such as sand, scale, etc.), as well as adhesion of dust accumulation, debris, cause a kind of mechanical wear; 2. Adhesive wear: Under the positive pressure between the flank and the chips, appears surface contact. And when the contact surface reaches interatomic distance, it will produce the phenomenon of adsorption bond; 3. Diffusion wear: At high temperature, high pressure, diffusion wear at high temperature, high pressure, blade material and workpiece material in certain chemical elements in the solid state.
