Introduction

Tungsten carbide tile scraper is the main tool for scraping. The quality of the scraper is an important factor in determining the efficiency and quality of the secondary cutting. Therefore, attention should be paid to the correct selection and sharpening of the knives during scraping.

The processing of the blade edge portion mainly includes rough grinding, heat treatment and fine grinding.

Rough Grinding

Before the quenching, the upper and lower surfaces should be flattened on the thick second wheel, and then the cutting edge of the scraping knife and the arc shape of the cutting edge are ground into different arcs according to different scrapers.

Heat Treatment

The head is immersed in a salt bath furnace for 25 mm, heated to 760 ° ~ 780 ° C, then taken out and cooled in water. The quenching length should not be too long, which will affect the elasticity of the scraper. Since the scraper requires high hardness, it should be immersed in water once for cooling during quenching without tempering. If there is no salt bath furnace, it can also be heated in the stove. Pay attention to the observation when heating, the heating should be uniform, when the temperature reaches 760~780 °C, the head of the scraper becomes dark pink, and the quenching should be carried out quickly. When heating, it should not be overheated. If the temperature is too high, even if it is cooled to the right temperature and then quenched, the blade structure will be swollen and the blade will not be polished.

Fine Grinding

After the scraper is quenched, the large plane and the edge can be ground on the fine grinding wheel. The grinding should be cooled frequently in the water to prevent annealing. If the grinding is very good during rough grinding, it can be sharpened directly on the oil stone after quenching. The oil stone of the scraping knife should be made of white corundum (GB) oil stone with high hardness, and the particle size is better in the particle size of M7~M5 (800~1000). When grinding the squeegee, you should work hard to grind the two large planes of the squeegee. When grinding, try to use the edge and four corners of the oil stone. Because the center of the oil stone is more convenient, the result is that the oil stone is quickly ground into a saddle shape. When paying attention to the large surface of the squeegee, do not grind the large surface into a facet composed of several planes. Smooth the large surface and observe whether the plane always passes to the edge of the cutting edge. The smoothness of the plane should be ground to level 12.
